Teorema, released in 1968 as both a film and a novel, is one of the most radical works by Pier Paolo Pasolini and is also among his best-known. The Italian composer Giorgio Battistelli adapted the story into a full-length opera, and the British-Irish theatre collective Dead Centre created their first work for an opera house.
