We're back! We hope everyone had a great New Year's Eve. It's freezing, making it a bit challenging to leave home. The music scene for the weekend is relatively quiet, but you can always head to Donau115 for a nice night of jazz or check out live acts at Schokoladen. Take a look at our "save the date" because Berlin will be buzzing next week.
For those who want to stay warm on the dance floor, there are some great options, including the daytime techno party Staub. But we plan to go to 'Moons' at arkaoda and 'Kookoo' at OHM this weekend. If you're into bass or house music, there are options for you too.
Don't miss Antikrist at Deutsche Oper, and we highly recommend 'Ophelia's Got Talent' in case you missed it. Yeah, we’re big fans of Florentina Holzinger.
Wintertime is a great moment to visit museums. There are new exhibitions opening, and we're curious about 'humanlab4.0'. Check out the new exhibition at Neue Nationalgalerie featuring works from 1945-2000 in a fantastic display. Remember, entry to Neue is free every Thursday from 4 pm until 8 pm.
If you haven't seen them yet, we highly recommend the exhibitions 'Lee Ufan' and 'Nadia Kaabi-Linke. Seeing Without Light' at Hamburger Bahnhof. And, it's your last chance to catch the Munch exhibition at Berlinische, and all of them are worth a visit.

Expanding on Anton Kats' film 'If not now, when?' in the exhibition 'As Though We Hid the Sun in a Sea of Stories,' the audience is invited to launch the subsequent vinyl record, 'afterlife,' by musician and DJ ILYICH. The record is a musical journey through fantastical stories and soundscapes.

In his super-aestheticized, expressionist visuals, Ersan Mondtag references the fine art from the period of ANTIKRIST’s creation (1920s), presenting a surreal world in which the laws of physics seem to have been suspended.

'Bucket List' is a musical hallucination about an overwhelming reality. Songwriter Shlomi Shaban and director Yael Ronen, along with the ensemble and a three-piece band, use music to explore abysses that our bodies may remember better than our forgetful brains.
Ophelia’s Got Talent

We are big fans of Florentina Holzinger, especially 'Ophelia's Got Talent,' one of our preferred performances from last year. This show delves into fluctuation, reflection, reproduction, healing, and violence—an exploration led by Holzinger's multi-disciplinary, multi-generational company, serving as a physical study in the psychology of water in the 21st century.

Theatre of Memory by Tim Otto Roth

The 'Theatre of Memory' creates an exceptional microtonal ensemble with 70 spherical, brightly lit speakers that 'listen' to each other, generating dynamic rhythmic sequences and clusters through acoustic self-organization.

Thomas Zipp's art explores dreams, trauma, and darkness. His paintings create lingering afterimages, distorting perception and generating their sound. "FAMILY OF PRIME," a collaborative project with Kabul, extends the echo-like approach as artists react, share canvases, and take risks, creating five large canvases that depict a silent dialogue between distinct styles.
Celebrating Picasso

Best of Sweden Movie Festival
