Feminist, diverse, and genre-spanning, Heroines of Sound festival reinforces the presence of women artists in art and music. Its 10th edition features 50+ artists from 20 countries, exploring themes of microtonality, noise, and drones. The festival starts with the Black Page Orchestra, features international sets by Beatriz Ferreyra, and culminates in exploring the electric guitar with Catherine Lorent’s award-winning installation. Sonic Pluverse Festival with La Perla, Makumba (Dengue Dengue Dengue), Chrisman (Nyege Nyege), and Mazaher
Experience the cultural richness of this event featuring La Perla's energizing blend of bullerengue, hip hop, and Caribbean rhythms, and the evocative Egyptian Zar tradition upheld by Mazaher. Dance with Makumba (Dengue Dengue Dengue), who'll present a mix of African, Caribbean, and Afro-Peruvian sounds, alongside Chrisman from Nyege Nyege Crew, showcasing his fusion of underground electronic genres. This week, the British band HÆLOS released their new album “SOMNUM” and will perform in Berlin this Friday. Erobique
“Erobique is in town,” signals a sweaty dance event for the age 18 to 80 crowd. He’s the master at turning dance music into “disco diamonds.” His latest album, “No. 2,” blends Italodisco, Groove, Indie-Pop, R’n’B, and Funk, making it the perfect record to get people moving on the dancefloor. Rave the Planet
Bigger than last year’s edition, this year’s Rave the Planet features 25 floats, each blasting a different flavor of electronic music. Some floats even offer tickets for those who want to join in. This year, the techno-parade has a new route: it kicks off at the Brandenburg Gate, circles around the Großer Stern, and ends at the Brandenburg Gate for a final parade. Saturday, 08.07, at 2 pm. Eva Fàbregas. Devouring Lovers
Artist Eva Fàbregas presents her largest solo exhibition at the Hamburger Bahnhof. The site-specific installation transforms the museum hall into an organic space with biomorphic sculptures. The artist’s work, known for its soft and corporeal objects, blends sculpture and movement, offering visitors an immersive, sensory experience that blurs the technical and organic boundaries. Flashes of Memory - Photography During the Holocaust
Featured for the first time in Germany, the exhibition presents a critical account of visual documentation – photographs and films – created during the Holocaust by German citizens and Nazi propaganda photographers, by Jewish photographers in the ghettos, and by members of the Allied forces during liberation. "Audre Lorde – The Berlin Years 1984 to 1992" (2012, 81 min)
The documentary uncovers an unknown chapter of writer and activist Audre Lorde's life, revealing her influence on Germany's cultural and political scene during a transformative decade. The film showcases Lorde's efforts to challenge racism, xenophobia, anti-semitism, class oppression, and homophobia while empowering Black German women to voice their experiences and urging white German women to broaden their feminist perspectives. Gay Propaganda Curated by Slava Mogutin
Summer is the time to enjoy the Freiluftkinos in Berlin. New York-based Russian-American multimedia artist and author Slava Mogutin curated a selection of short films by Christeene, Yves De Brabander, David Hoyle, Bruce LaBruce, Mathieu & Leolo, Matt Lambert, Slava Mogutin, Patriarchy, Peaches and Vaginal Davis, among others. In his autobiographical novel “History of Violence,” with his reconstruction of a traumatic night, French author Édouard Louis creates a work that is both a personal and penetrating social analysis of coming of age, desire, migration, and racism and in the diversity of voices reacting to the crime committed against him, makes audible the socially repressed forms of violence. Am Seegarten (Exhibithion)
"Am Seegarten" is a temporary exhibition set on the historic grounds of the former industrial town, Kirchmöser. Daniel Boyd: Rainbow Serpent (Version)
RAINBOW SERPENT (VERSION) is the most comprehensive European exhibition of Daniel Boyd’s artistic practice. It provides an overview of Boyd’s image-making that counters the colonial narrative of Australia’s history and engages transnational networks of resistance, Indigenous knowledge production, and personal family histories, which he reflects on the context and architecture of the Gropius Bau. Franck Bordese is an Impresario. He has worked extensively in dance, theatre, performance, and visual art in London, New York, and Berlin. Franck says, “Our DNA has been shaped by history, and it is now proved that it retains physical as well as emotional information. I like to give people an experience of art that unpacks the ‘collections’ that are within our body, tens of thousands of years of accumulations of movement, visual information, and connections because our bodies are our living museum.” Franck has shared with us one of his favorite places in Berlin and the exhibition #mustgo:

Psicotropicos Festival
Psicotrópicos is now in its 6th edition, and it promises two days of music featuring a diverse mix of established and emerging talents from the vibrant Brazilian new music scene.
