🎧 Nautilus, a Japanese band formed in 2014 by Toshiyuki Sasaki, revives jazz-funk with a modern twist, inspired by Bob James. Core members include Sasaki and bassist Shigeki Umezawa. They blend jazz covers with enka vocals and shamisen samples, creating unique, exciting music that defies clichés.

CSD Berlin Pride
The biggest weekend event is CSD Berlin Pride, on Saturday from 11 am. This year, the main topics are queer in old age, sport/soccer, Islam, a strong queer network in Germany, and TIN – a feminist perspective. The program for this week includes a lot of nice and different tours. The official demo starts at noon from Leipziger Strasse/corner of Spittelmarkt through Mitte, Schönenberg to the Bundesrat, Potsdamer Platz, and Brandenburg Tor.

The Portuguese 'group mala voadora' recreates The Girl Chewing Gum, John Smith’s experience using images from 25 April 1974, as if the revolution were an artist’s staging. As well as revealing the facts that ensured the establishment of a democratic regime in Portugal, this show highlights the mechanisms of fictional construction, particularly the construction of manipulated realities.

Under the title "Wunderkammer," the exhibition brings together a broad selection of works from recent years. A central theme in Reis’s work is the exploration of space, time, and memory. The exhibition features unique cross-dressing photographs from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Photographers Bolette Berg and Marie Høeg gained posthumous fame for their early experiments with gender roles. These playful, humorous images challenge the femininity ideals and gender roles of their time with a freshness and relevance comparable to contemporary art practices.
Abdulhamid Kircher: Rotting from Within

The deeply personal aspect of Abdulhamid Kircher’s practice is mirrored in his site-specific approach to the blank exhibition space of the white cube. Through his photographic practice, Kircher examines possibilities for reconciliation, questions of identity and intimacy, and the impacts of patriarchy and violence.
WHEN DUSK FALLS – Jamie Luoto & Tonia Nneji

This exhibition explores the complex psychological impacts of trauma on the female body. Luoto's works delve into her experiences with PTSD using symbolic visual language, while Nneji's paintings confront the suppression and violence against women about religion. Both artists use their art to challenge societal norms and elicit discomfort, making visible the unseen and repressed.

Lygia Pape's "Eat Me" (1975) uses metaphor to discuss intimacy and violence. Rita Moreira’s "Temporada de caça" (1988) and Miguel-Ángel Cárdenas’s "Somos Libres!?" (1981) highlight societal intolerance and the search for freedom.
