Spy on Me Festival

The fifth edition of the "Spy on Me" festival explores connections between AI and humans. Despite apocalyptic discourse around AI, it's worth reflecting on what we still control to shape our relationship with technology. HAU presents ten days of theatre, performance, dialogue, games, and interactive installations.
Woyzeck by Ersan Mondtag

Georg Büchner was 23 when he began writing Woyzeck, a visionary and powerful work. Though unfinished, it became one of the most famous texts in German literature. Woyzeck, a humble soldier, works as a barber but can't support Marie and their child, so he hires himself out as a medical test subject.

Playwright Kata Wéber and director Kornel Mundruczó explore authoritarian structures in Method, their second production for the Volksbühne. Developed with the actors, it addresses current debates on power, authoritarianism, and dependency.

Rebecca Horn: Concert of Sighs

Rebecca Horn's Concert of Sighs fills Galerie Thomas Schulte with soft echoes from copper trumpets rising out of rubble. Piles of wooden boards, wall fragments, and copper tubes twist upwards like plant shoots. Horn used materials from Venetian ruins for this 1997 Venice Biennale piece.
Rinaldo Hopf: Queer Art Collection

For the first time, artist Rinaldo Hopf is showcasing his Queer Art Collection, featuring works by major queer artists like Pierre et Gilles, Andy Warhol, Tom of Finland, Felix Gonzales Torres, and many more.
