This was the first production I watched from Staatsballet Berlin earlier this year and the work captivated me. Spuck competently adapted the beauty of Gustave Flaubert's classic novel for the stage.

Nnenna Onuoha gently unravels the stories and questions posed by three black girls, exploring the categorizations they face. In the exhibition, Onuoha honors Mabel Dove by collating archival prints of Dove’s journalistic articles and transforming her Adventures of the Black Girl into an illustrated book.
Kayode Ojo: Am I Acoustic

New York-based artist Kayode Ojo is interested in theatricality, artifice, and seduction. His work in photography, sculpture, and performance interrogates notions of value and privilege. While in residence at Callie´s, Kayode conceived a new performance titled “Am I Acoustic,” which plays with tension: public versus private, foreign versus domestic, and intention versus reality.

MUBI has launched Reclaiming Spaces: Berlin, the '90s, a film collection that explores German cinema's depiction of a nation undergoing cultural and political transformation during the 1990s.
